**Position: Landscape Foreman**:
**Position Type**:Full-Time, Non-Exempt

**Pay Range**:$25- $30 per hour

**Location**:Sterling, VA

**Job Summary**:
The Landscape Foreman is responsible for leading and managing the tasks of a field team to perform landscape installation and construction. This includes, but is not limited to:

- reading landscape plans,
- performing grading/site prep,
- digging trenches,
- plant layout and planting,
- trimming natural environments,
- cleaning debris.
- operating various trucks, machinery, equipment, and tools,
- managing crew members to timely task completion and on budget, and
- ensuring a safe work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **LMA**:

- **L**ead, **M**anage, and hold design-build crews **A**ccountable to produce landscape projects.
- **Performs Landscape Construction and Installation**:

- Reads, interprets, and implements construction and site plans according to design and direction from Project Manager.
- **Time Keeping and Working Within Budget**:

- Perform job tasks according to budgeted hours and materials. Record time and materials by task and job daily through Aspire.
- **Completion of Specified Tasks**:

- Coordinates with the Project Manager to complete the necessary assignments to achieve a successful landscape construction project.
- **Follows Instructions**:

- Listens to Project Manager instructions and leads crew members in compliance and completion.
- **Crew Safety**:

- Ensures that the crew conducts our operations according to Company policies and OSHA standards. Enforces proper usage of relevant PPE for the specific task.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Proficiency in the following areas of landscape construction:

- Construction/Site Plans
- Grading
- Drainage
- Plantings
- Patios, Walkways, Boulder Work, & Retaining Walls
- Masonry a plus (e.g., Outdoor Kitchens)
- Carpentry a plus (e.g., Decks, Screened Porches, Pool Houses, Pavilions, & Pergolas)
- Skill at operating and controlling construction machinery such as, but not limited to:

- Bobcat
- Vermeer
- Mini Excavator
- Knowledge of common construction practices and safety measures.
- Ability to work independent of PM with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to facilitate professional customer service, including effective communication with clients, subcontractors, supervisors, and team members.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to train, develop and coach team members.

**Preferred Education/Certification/Experience**:

- Experience in landscape construction and planting (5 years)
- Valid Driver’s License (Clean Record).
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred.
