**About This Role**

We are seeking a Utilization Review Supervisor to lead a team of specialists in obtaining appropriate insurance authorization for our patients to receive Behavioral Health treatment at high levels of care. In addition to overseeing and providing direction to the team, the UR Supervisor must possess exemplary organizational skills, and have a clear passion in behavioral health driven by helping patients get the care they need.

**What You'll Do**:

- Lead the Utilization Review staff
- Requesting and obtaining appropriate insurance authorizations on a timely basis, as directed by treatment teams
- Inform clinical teams of results of each review
- Correct attendance document as necessary
- Supervising staff of Utilization Specialists
- Coordinate daily review schedule
- Assign and balance daily workload among staff
- Assure that reviews are completed in a timely manner
- Coordinating patient/family communication with Director of Operations and Patient Services when authorization status changes due to insurance company determination
- Investigating to help resolve billing/claims/payment issues that involve authorizations

**Who You Are**:

- 1-2 years professional experience in a healthcare management or leadership role in customer service, health administration, patient relations or related role
- Experience with policy or procedure development related to customer service
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and team participation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, effective in time management, ability to manage multiple priorities, strong teamwork skills
- Strong keyboard and telephone skills
