**Summary**:
Ascentria is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to assist in covering the following tasks. Processing biweekly payroll for a workforce of 1,000+, maintaining accurate payroll records, and assisting in the processing of employee changes and backup for Worker’s Compensation

This position is 40 hours/week hybrid position (2 days in the office and 3 days remote) with benefits, including health, dental, paid holidays and paid time off

**Essential Responsibilities**:
**Payroll**:

- Processes bi-weekly payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Prepare and print manual checks in both the UKG system and record in the banking system as needed.
- Responds timely to employee and manager questions and requests related to payroll and time off benefits.
- Obtain, review and analyze payroll reports and related documents received from third party processor(s) for data accuracy and relevance.
- Research and interpret information as required to respond to third party payroll inquiries. Create management and other relevant reports as requested.
- Maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

**Human Resources**:

- Processes in a timely manner employee status changes, which could include salary changes and terminations for CT/MA/ME/NH/VT, following required processes to ensure accuracy.
- Responsible for uploading change forms/termination forms, etc. to employee’s personnel record
- Resolve issues with managers pertaining to the employee changes and records.
- In the absence of the Worker’s Compensation lead, processes worker’s compensation claims in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Process all employee verifications in a timely and accurate manner
- Manages unemployment invoicing and entering in AP system for processing.
- Provides timely communication to employee and their manager regarding current claims
- related issues.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll experience, preferably with UltiPro, in organizations with at least 250 employees strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to sustain a high-degree of accuracy and attention in all aspects of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and especially related to sensitive employee leaves.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding matters of significance is essential.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, organize and work within tight time constraints.
- Access to vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel to Ascentria locations required —Travel required equals 10-20% of time.

**Experience**: Preferred
