Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist

Position: With direction and following established procedures, provides milieu/or direct client service, in all areas of daily living, rehabilitation and treatment. Completes clinical records and other documentation as required. Must be flexible to work nights and weekends and may need to work a varying schedule according to program needs.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree plus two years' experience (In place of Bachelor's Degree) plus four years' experience in a Mental Health setting. OR Bachelor's Degree plus experience in Mental Health setting. Responsibilities:

- Provides milieu and mental health rehabilitation support. Provides socialization/activity groups in all areas of daily living, rehabilitation and treatment.
- Acts as an advocate for the client.
- Maintains all required documentation to Agency and Medi-cal standards.
- Acts as a professional liaison with community agencies and resources.
- Facilitates and implements treatment plans and interventions developed by a multi-disciplinary team.
- Functions in a professional manner as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Responsible for family follow-up and ongoing support services.
- Attends monthly team meetings, consultations, and supervisions.
- Provides crisis intervention and stabilization services to clients as assigned. With clinical oversight, assists in developing and implementing Safety Plans as needed and in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Monitors residents' behavioral changes, reinforces positive, appropriate behavior, offers counseling and support to residents in need, provides documentation accordingly, and reports observations to the supervisor; monitors for signs and symptoms of mental illness.
- Conduct other related duties as necessary

Pay: $24.67 - $26.15 per hour
