Parking Attendant

**Location**: Northwestern Memorial Hospital

**Rate**: $16.85/hour; non-tipped

**Schedule**: Full-time Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

**Requirement**:Current Flu Vaccination required

**The Spirit of the Position**:
**Parking Ambassadors** are an integral part of the LAZ Parking team. Staff will interface with customers and need to present a cheery demeanor. Duties include but not limited to, processing transactions and collecting revenues, exhibiting courteous and professional behavior in constant interactions with parking customers, flagging customers into parking spaces, directing traffic and does require standing outside for long periods in all types of weather conditions.

**Principal Job Duties**:

- Greet customers in a cheery manner and collect payments and provide paid ticket stubs to guests.
- Direct customers ahead to open stalls.
- Engage with customers if asked questions.
- Occasionally walk to count open spaces.
- Wear provided uniform which includes pants, shirt, jacket, and hat.
- Employees should wear their own comfortable outdoor shoes, an appropriate base layer, and warm gloves for the colder nights.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education**:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

**Experience**:

- Experience with cash handling.
- Experience in customer service.

**Skills**:

- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Willingness to be flexible in what tasks you are doing
- Must be able to work independently
- Strong work ethic
- Reliability
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for several hours at a time
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather
