Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team. As a Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the dietary department and ensuring the provision of high-quality meals and nutrition services. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key role in promoting the health and well-being of our residents.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences
- Oversee the preparation and service of meals, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage inventory and ordering of food and supplies
- Train and supervise dietary staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans that address specific dietary needs
- Monitor residents' nutritional status and make appropriate adjustments to their diets
- Provide health coaching to residents, promoting healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices
- Stay up-to-date with current nutrition guidelines and research to ensure best practices are followed
- Conduct regular audits to assess the quality of meals and services provided
**Skills**:
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
- In-depth knowledge of nutrition principles, physiology, and dietary requirements for different populations
- Experience with tube feeding and other specialized diets
- Familiarity with assisted living regulations and requirements
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation related to nutrition
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
