**Job Summary**:
The Forklift/Telehandler Operator-Rigger, sets up and repairs rigging at the vessel yard. He/she is responsible for aligning and anchoring, attaching loads, controlling the movement of heavy equipment, and ensures the rigging is safe for use. He/she conveys instructions to the crane operator, using hand signals, loudspeaker, radio, or telephone. The Forklift/Telehandler Operator-Rigger, loads/unloads materials and equipment on and off the vessel, in and out of the yard and controls movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces. He/she selects cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, braces, and cushions according to weight, distribution, and size of load to be moved.

**Forklift/Telehandler Operator-Rigger Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that the proper equipment is utilized to conduct rigging and lifting operations.
- Ensure all rigging and lifting operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed in accordance with Hydra standards for each project.
- Align, level, and anchor machinery.
- Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for movement, using hand and power tools.
- Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.
- Load and unload materials.
- Operate Forklift.
- Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps.
- Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chainfalls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.
- Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
- Perform dock clean-up, ensuring that there are no hazards.
- Perform all duties assigned by the Facilities Manager, Supervisor, or Foreman.

**Education/Skills**:

- High School Diploma.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Forklift/Telehandler Operator-Rigger.
- Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
- Read, write, and speak English well.
- Valid driver’s license.

**Required Training**:

- Existing valid Forklift Certification, preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must actively participate in a mandatory Drug and Alcohol screening, having no failed or refused test.
- Must possess and maintain the physical ability to safely perform the duties of the Forklift/Telehandler Operator-Rigger position.
- Should be capable of working in extreme environments for extended periods of time.
- Should be capable of moving up and down steep steps multiple times a day in a safe manner.
- Must be able to work in a standard field environment (being aware of your surroundings and operations going on around you).
- Must be able to receive orders and follow them though without supervision present.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audible instructions.
- Must be able to perform heavy duty work (lifting, pushing, pulling 50 pounds).
- Must be able to withstand being exposed to dust, vibration, and noisy environments.

**Forklift/Telehandler Operator-Rigger Authorities**:

- Stop Work Authority

Pay: $13.00 - $23.00 per hour
