**After School Site Director At Large Needed**:
As an Apollo Site Director At-Large, you will be expected to have a reliable means of personal transportation and be able to be responsible for the implementation of our extended-day program at various after-school sites in the Chicagoland area. You will be assigned as a supporting Director or substitute on an as-needed basis, and will have regular assigned locations on days where a substitute is not needed. You will work closely with Apollo senior leadership and support staff to ensure our program exceeds school, parent, and student expectations. Site Directors also coordinate a team of instructors (depending on program enrollment).
- **Starting date**:School Year 2023 - 2024
- ** Schedule**: Monday to** **Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- ** Estimated time of the evaluation process**: 10 business days
- ** Compensation**: $22 - 25 (depending on experience)
- ** Educator License not required.**

**As a Site Director at Large, your responsibilities will be**:

- Provide a safe, fun, and friendly learning environment for our students.
- Ensure the safety, security, and supervision of our students at all times.
- Apollo After School is inclusive learning and work environment - making all students, colleagues, and community partners feel safe, welcome, and included is the responsibility of every Apollo employee.
- Work together with supervisors and colleagues on the implementation of the daily Apollo program structure - attendance, snack time, homework help, physical activities, enrichment activities, supervised free play, transition times, and dismissal.
- Supervise all aspects of your site's before and after-school program.
- Manage daily program operations and logistics, in coordination with Apollo leadership.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all participants, parents, school staff, and administration.
- Ensure that the program operates in compliance with all state and local licensing requirements.
- Coordinate program staff and promote their professional growth and development by assisting in training and coaching, conducting classroom observations to assess and evaluate staff on a consistent basis, and resolving any issues that arise with the assistance of Apollo leadership.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, attendance, and dismissal data. Meet data entry deadlines. Gather, review, and use program data for program improvement and parent communication.
- Practice a daily safety checklist.
- Help ensure our program content supports school-mandated goals and outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with students' parents/guardians during pick-up times, working together on student successes and challenges.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local safety, health, and licensing requirements.
- Assist in maintaining all required documentation, such as incident and accident reports, inventory, and parent communication.
- Assess and solve problems associated with the supervision of PK-8 students.
- Integrate successfully with your school's unique community - we are all partners in our students' growth and well-being.
- Command the attention and facilitate the coordination of our full student group, whenever required by the classroom situation. Must be able to manage a classroom by yourself when the situation requires it.
- Full participation in all paid training and ongoing professional development initiatives.

**Our requirements for our site directors are**:

- Minimum of two years working with school-age youth (PK-8) in a school or extended-day setting
- Minimum 1-year experience in management with at least 5 employees as direct reports.
- Associate's Degree -or
- Equivalent Experience
- Availability to move to different sites.
