Sewer & Drain Technician / Plumbers Apprentice

Vortex Sewer & Drain is a small minority-owned business with many years of sewer and drain services in the Chicago-land area. We are seeking a sewer & drain technician / plumber's apprentice to add a second truck to the company. We will provide initial sewer and drain service training to match the needs and quality of service our company strives to provide all clients.
The selected individual will install and repair/maintain sewer and drainage systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assemble and install sewer systems
- Troubleshoot and repair drains and sewer systems
- Maintain and repair residential and commercial sewer systems
- Prepare written work cost estimates for clients
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience in drain/sewer maintenance and repairs (camera, rodding, jetting and sewer repairs)
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Have a valid driver's license with good driving record
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual is preferred, but not required (Spanish)
- Plumbing skills is a plus
Work Environment:
- This position requires work off-site throughout the Chicago-land area.
- This position may require evening and weekend work hours.
