Bilingual HR Specialist

Description:
FIC America Corp. an automotive parts manufacturer is seeking a bilingual Human Resources Specialist to join the team. The position will be responsible for hourly payroll, assisting with new hire orientation presentations, and handling a broad range of HR requests.
- Input data, monitor employee hours, and troubleshoot issues to manage the payroll system to ensure accurate and timely payments
- Oversee and manage both Payroll and Timekeeping databases
- Input employee data, such as new hires, status changes, and hours, into electronic database
- Process time-off requests and attendance; make necessary adjustments to payroll data
- Review and verify payroll data to ensure accuracy
- Prepare necessary documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Liaise with external payroll company to prepare and receive paychecks
- Assist employees with issues and questions regarding time off, accruals, and leaves of absence
- Compile internal management reports from payroll system
- Work with departmental personnel to assist with work flow and perform general administrative duties
- Organize and maintain payroll records
- Provide translation for new hire orientation
- Handle a broad range of HR requests
- Provide guidance to managers in how to handle employee concerns
- Answer basic benefits questions and leave requests eligibility/options
- Manage details and coordination of disciplinary discussions, termination, and investigations
- Assist with hourly recruiting as needed
- Follow standard work instructions
- Perform other duties assigned

**Other Job Functions**

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of HR Specialist experience OR a combination of professional experience AND Human Resources certificate OR degree
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role
- Payroll experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
- Must have proficient oral and written communication skills
- Must be willing to cross-train
- Must be able to work company’s required overtime
- Must comply with FIC’s Attendance and Punctuality Policy
