**Position Summary/Purpose of Position**:

- The CMNS Dean’s Office seeks a highly organized and personable Financial Services Specialist with exceptional attention to detail to join our team. The Financial Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and completing a wide range of business-related tasks, projects, and support for the college.**Benefits Summary**

**Minimum Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree is required at the time of the appointment.

**Experience**:

- One (1) year of professional budget, finance, or accounting experience.
- Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
- Experience working with customers in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with finance or related offices in a university setting.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Dedication to providing excellent customer service to a diverse population of student, faculty, staff, and visitors
- Possess a strong attention to detail and an ability to execute assignments under tight deadlines while being able to work well under pressure
- Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and work independently with mínimal supervision

**Preferences**:

- Experience working in higher education, specifically at UMD, strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of university software tools and/or systems such as Kuali Financial System (KFS), Priority BA4,, Concur, Blackbaud, and Kuali Research.
- Knowledge of State, UMD, and UMCPF financial policies and procedures.
