We are expanding our work in the South Bronx We currently work with community members through the Bronx H.Y.P.E Family Enrichment Center. Family Enrichment Centers (FECs) are warm and welcoming community gathering places where any family or individual can come for support, information, and to participate in and/or lead activities (called “offerings”). FECs are based on the premise that community members design and drive the FEC’s activities or offerings. We are excited to further our mission through the implementation of the School-Based Early Support model in South Bronx public schools.

The Division of Prevention Services (DPS) in the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) is renaming and redesigning the programs formerly known as ACS Beacon Prevention. Through the redesign, ACS intends to offer families a menu of flexible service options that strive to connect families to community resources through case management, address families’ concrete needs, support parents/caregivers, and avoid unnecessary investigations. The Reggio Emilia Montessori Center will implement this model in public schools located in School Districts 7 and 12.

**Position: Part-Time Finance and HR Coordinator**

The Finance and HR Coordinator will assist in all human resources and finance related tasks as allowable within the part-time weekly schedule. The primary focus will be on HR generalist responsibilities, and submission of invoices and budgets for city contracts. The Finance and HR Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director.

**Title**: Finance and HR Coordinator

**Pay**: $25/hour

**Work Location**: Hybrid; 10-12 hrs remote per week; up to 3 hrs on-site per week

**Work Hours**: Part-Time; 10-15 hours per week;
- Up to 3 hours per week of on-site work, including:

- Bronx: 111 Bruckner Blvd., Bronx, NY - on-site up to two Thursdays per month from 4:00pm-6:00pm
- Flatbush: 1331 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn and 3421 Glenwood Rd., Brooklyn, NY - on-site up to two Thursdays per month from 10:00am-12:00pm

**Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
Human Resources
- Initiate new hire on-boarding and background clearance processes;
- Ensure all employees are up to date on required annual trainings and certificates;
- Provide prompt and courteous support to employees and job applicants regarding policies, benefits, and hiring processes;
- Assist with periodic audits to ensure all required documents are collected, filed, and kept up-to-date;
- Assist with weekly payroll functions, including processing payroll, answering employee questions, and verifying time and attendance records;
- Assist in the preparation of HR and Finance reports;
- Serve as a liaison between the company and external benefits providers and brokers, including medical insurance plans and Gusto payroll service representatives;
- Maintain time tracking systems for part-time or hourly employees;
- Ensure employees at all on-site location have an employee ID and sign in/out system that is routinely reviewed against time off and hours worked for payroll;
- Monitor time off policies and employee usage;
Finance
- Assists in the reconciliation of bank accounts and supervisor expense reports;
- Processes invoices and order requests;
- Completes ledger variance reviews and assists in researching and investigating discrepancies;
- Provides assistance in processing tax distributions and other financial tasks as needed;
- Submit monthly invoicing in Passport and Vendor Portal for city and state contracts;
General
- Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of employee files, records, and documentation in accordance with HR policies and regulatory requirements;
- Represent the organization and conduct outreach at community events and venues when aligned to your work schedule;
- Support ongoing quality assurance and quality improvement of the organization;
- Complete other duties as assigned and required.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or a Related Field;
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience in HR or Finance;
- Outstanding attention to detail;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Proficient in Google Documents and Google Sheets.;
