**_ Position Summary_**:

- The Operations Director with the direct support of their senior management team, will lead and manage the Operations Business Units in the Mahwah facility to drive high levels of performance and process excellence.**_Replacement Divisional Strategy_**
- _Assume the responsibility of the local site lead/plant manager, when required._

Key Areas of Responsibility_**
- _Ensuring a high level of EHS, people engagement and talent management within manufacturing._
- _Lead the senior operations team (with the senior operations management team as direct reports) on delivering all EHS, Quality, Service, TTM and Cost goals & objectives._
- _Achievement of defined performance standards for manufacturing operations._
- _Provide guidance, direction and support to staff as assigned._
- _Work closely with the other members of the site leadership team to develop and execute strategic plans for the company._
- _Benchmark high performance operations inside and outside the Stryker organisation and implement appropriate change programmes in the company in its aggressive drive to excellence._
- _Defining, together with the leaders of the site support functions, the scope and format of support services required to sustain significant performance improvements in manufacturing operations._
- _Responsible for the implementation, enforcement, and compliance with the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies, programs and procedures._
- _Sponsors an environment of Safety, Quality, People Development and CI within Stryker by working with business partners to define expected standards and the _roles/responsibilities_ in the conservation of these standards._
- _Champions a positive employee environment by promoting open communication, engagement, and development of quality teams. Promotes a culture of inclusiveness, trust, flexibility, and teamwork._
- _Sponsors and ensures engagement in all internal and external audit programmes such as Corporate, notified body & FDA audits._
- _Ownership of all budgeting and projection processes for operations manufacturing and ensuring our financial commitments are met._
- _Day-to-day effective management of production, ensuring products are produced in a timely and cost-effective manner._
- _Establish performance targets for all Business Units, and monitor actual Business Units performance against targets, taking appropriate and timely corrective action where negative trends begin to emerge._
- _Ensure local site goals are aligned with the Division’s goals and are being achieved._
- _Oversight and responsibility to ensure operation units maintains adherence to all KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People Development). Continuously monitors and partakes in Local and global forums to assess opportunities for improvement._
- _With global alignment, ensures that necessary Capacity is in place across the network to meet our Customers’ Demands. Ensure Site capacity requirements are systemised, governed effectively and end customers’ needs are met - short term and long term. Leverage the GQO network to drive capacity and business continuity for the Stryker Mahwah product portfolio._
- _Represents manufacturing in setting NPI standards re launches, ensuring availability of resources and FG product to meet agreed launch plans._
- _Foster strong collaboration across all functions, has a strategic view in identifying alignment and developing strategies._
- _Contribute as a key member of SYK Site Management Team to develop and implement a manufacturing execution plan for the site._
- _Build a high trust and engagement culture within operations. Lead and demonstrate behaviours that drive engagement every day._
- _Build and develop talent within the function and site._
- _Ensure effective performance management, communications, and recognition within function._
- _Provide a great Customer Experience for internal and external customer site visits._
- _Establish and sustain appropriate site communications forums._

**_ Basic Qualifications._**
- _Degree in Engineering or Business discipline or 10+ Operational leadership experience and a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a regulated industry._
- _Minimum of 6+ or more years’ experience and a proven track record of successfully creating and managing a highly talented, engaged and performing team._
