Quality Analyst

**Primary Purpose of Position**:
Will promote a quality culture through teamwork and enforcing quality best practices.
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**:
- Support the Quality and Operations teams with quality best practices.
- Complete startup / last article inspections
- Audit / Inspect and report on in-process and manufactured products. (Finished Goods, Components and Supplied items).
- Make decisions on the acceptability/non-acceptability of manufactured/packaged products.
- Use defect categories critical / major / minor to make sound business decisions.
- Contain all non-conforming product(s) to the last known “acceptable inspection point”.
- Communicate non-conformance(s) and /or trending conditions to support teams.
- Act as the “Voice of Quality” and facilitate solutions in “real time” with the cross functional team.
- Record inspection and audit results on internal documentation.
- Perform inspection activities reporting on process and product performance.
- Perform inspections of new product and FG product lots to defined AQL and sampling methods.
- Provide follow up and verification activities in support of corrective actions and/or process adjustments.
- Coach, train, and mentor the fundamentals of Quality to coworkers as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
- Perform such individual assignments as management may direct.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**
High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
**Experience/Knowledge**
- Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritize issues as they occur.
- Basic computer and math skills, including fractions and decimals required. Microsoft Office products - Excel and Word
- Able to work in SAP/PKMS database and make daily entries.
- Able to work well with others and be a team member.
- Ability to use measurement equipment: micrometers, calipers, indicators.
- Minimum 6 (six) months experience in a manufacturing or equivalent environment.

- Must have good communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritize issues as they occur.
- Must have accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Need to have workplace flexibility and adapt to change regarding how and when work gets done.
**Physical Requirements & Work Environment**
- Walk, bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and lift approximately 95 (ninety-five) percent of work time.
- Ability to work overtime or on weekends with short notice.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and walk over rough ground.
- Willingness to work all/any shifts.
- Typical plant/manufacturing environment with concrete floors and moving equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
