The Associate Executive Director will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director with the overall administration of the community.

**The Role**:

- Assist in preparing annual operating budget; monitor expenditures specific to their departmental oversight to provide specified services within budget.
- Have a general understanding of financial ratios and have the ability to make changes as the financial ratios dictate. Work directly with the Executive Director to maintain quality services for residents in all levels of care at the level established by the CL and consistent with LCS standards.

**Experience**:

- At least 2-5 years of management experience in a life care community. The technical knowledge required is best obtained through a BS or MS degree in business, health care, hotel/restaurant management, or closely related area.

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Ability to work effectively with a variety of publics, including residents, owners, community groups, government agencies, etc.
- A broad understanding of federal and state laws related to the operation of the community. Ability to effectively supervise staff members and to work cooperatively as part of a team.
