**Equipment Repair and Appliance Technician**

**A Day in the Life of an Equipment Repair and Appliance Technician could include**:

- Troubleshoot, identify problems, and repair fire and water restoration equipment, including dehumidifiers, blowers, air scrubbers, hydroxyl/ozone generators, water extractors, etc.
- Read equipment manuals and understand how the equipment operates.
- Use a multi-meter to troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Inventory equipment and record model numbers, serial numbers, and take pictures using an iPad.
- Remove and/or replace equipment parts as needed.
- Test equipment and document final test result
- On-site evaluation of damaged electronics from insurance claims involving fire, water, or lightning strike damage
- Create an inventory report, remove and transport electronic items and appliances from the insured’s home or business
- Disassemble and evaluate electronic items to be cleaned, serviced, and/or repaired
- Test, clean, restore, and reassemble electronic items to pre-loss condition
- Deliver and reinstall appliances and consumer electronic items within the insured home or business

- Consistently exhibit empathy and compassion
- Comfortable working on-site in post-peril (fire, floods, etc.) environments
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds during pick-up and delivery activities

Prism Specialties specializes in the restoration of electronics, art, têxtiles, and documents for residential and commercial insurance claims.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 50 per week
