**Job Summary**

Responsible for developing and administering procedures and practices regarding database systems and their databases. Also responsible for the performance, availability, integrity, security and disaster recovery of all databases and database systems.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Develops database schema and design in all production and non-production database environments
- Configures database security and generates reports and queries to ensure data integrity and security is maintained and makes recommendations regarding improvements
- Maintains data in all production and non-production databases and replication servers
- Creates and manages database elements, including creation, alteration, deletion and copying of schema, databases, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, and declarative integrity constraints
- Defines and configures monitoring parameters of database and replication servers for resource utilization. Handles testing, reporting, backup/restore. Manages database distribution, security, and access requirements
- Creates security access profiles to enable access to databases. Creates and maintains user profiles for database access, including login and password. Performs backup and recovery, configures database parameters, and prototypes designs against logical data models
- Researches and analyzes new products and/or technologies and makes recommendations to enable a more effective and secure database architecture
- Evaluates and makes recommendations to streamline and improve current systems, processes, and workflow
- Facilitates, establishes, and builds strong working relationships and partnerships with Business Units and Senior Management to assess operational needs and develop appropriate operational support strategies and efficient use of resources
- Handles core database administration for Snowflake environment, building automation to optimize the environment and pipelines to define metrics related to all things Snowflake
- Actively works with Snowflake support for raising support tickets and triaging outages
- Implements/supports automation for production deployments in Snowflake
- Develops, builds, and maintains a mission critical centralized data platform using Snowflake
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots Snowflake database errors

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of One to Three years of experience as a Snowflake Database Administrator
- Experience in Data Warehouse environments
- Experience with MS SQL, SSRS, SSIS
- Experience administrating SQL database using T-SQL and Management Console preferred
- Knowledge of organizational politics and political tactics; ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation toward Business Units requiring financial consultation (responsive, consultative, collaborative, and accurate)
- Strong project management skills: Plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, to achieve project objectives and deadlines.Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions
- Strategic thinking: Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
