- **Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the operations of the General Ledger, Disbursements, Accounts Receivable, and Cash units.
- Ensure the organization's accounting operations uphold financial reporting best practices, maintain and strengthen internal controls, comply with state and federal laws, and adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements.
- Actively participate and contribute as a key stakeholder in the automation of financial processes, developing strategic goals in alignment with the organization’s mission, and communicate financial results and strategy.
- Manage sensitive enrollee information with the utmost confidentiality, adhering to compliance with federal tax information, protected health information, and personally identifying information protocols.

- This position’s office headquarters location is designated in Expo. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

Working Conditions

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California’s current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with mínimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
