The mission of Honors Programs at UCLA is to provide an exceptional educational experience to a diverse group of high-achieving students in an environment that nurtures the growth of the student academically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Working independently under the general supervision of the Manager for Administrative and Student Services, the Student Affairs Advisor - Honors Curricular Coordinator oversees the administration of both the Honors Collegium, an interdisciplinary curriculum of Honors seminars for a cohort of high achieving undergraduate students at UCLA, and the Undergraduate Student-Initiated (USIE) Program, an avenue for UCLA undergraduate students to facilitate their own seminars under the close supervision of faculty mentors. The curricular coordinator's primary responsibility is to work closely with the Manager for Administrative & Student Services, the Assistant Dean/Director of Honors, the Honors Faculty Advisory Committee, and the USIE Faculty Advisory Committee in long-term curricular and administrative planning for both the Honors Collegium and USIE and in ensuring the smooth running of their operations on a daily basis. Specific duties include working with Honors management and prospective faculty and student participants in both the Honors Collegium and the USIE yearly calls for course proposals; working with appropriate offices in the university to shepherd approved course proposals from the Course Inventory Management System through Registrar's Scheduling System; working with appropriate offices in the Division to ensure funding and the corresponding instructional-related hiring for both programs; serving as the first and primary point of contact for Honors Collegium and USIE faculty members, providing a variety of assistance as needed; serving as the expert contact by Honors staff and students in technical/specialized items involving both Honors Collegium and USIE courses; working closely with the divisional course coor**Salary & Compensation**

**Qualifications**
- 1. Ability to function in a pivotal role between Honors Programs and upper level administrators, faculty, and key university personnel as demonstrated by excellent work collaboration, communication, and interpersonal relations skills. (required)
- 2. Skill in leadership as demonstrated by exercising mature judgment in independent decision making, exercising initiative and creativity in implementing solutions, encouraging productive exchange of ideas among faculty and administrators associated with the Honors Collegium and with USIE, inspiring (required)
- 3. Skill in analyzing information, policies, and procedures to identify problems, make recommendations, implement change. (required)
- 4. Skill in organization and goal setting as demonstrated by arranging timetables, calendars, and schedules, locating resources, prioritizing information, projects, and tasks, and setting and meeting deadlines. (required)
- 5. Detailed knowledge of the UCLA, College of Letters & Science, and Honors Programs rules & regulations and the policies & practices of university units such as Registrar's, Admissions, and the different administrative offices in the Division of Undergraduate Education. (preferred)
- 6. Skill in the preparation of reports, demonstrating skill in synthesis and analysis and the use of data and an excellent command of the written style of communication. (required)
- 7. Skill in research and data acquisition. (required)
- 8. Skill in statistical graphics. (required)
- 10. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work independently, and complete tasks with mínimal supervision. (required)
- 11. Ability to organize and conduct group presentations to provide information and explain policies and procedures to various constituencies. (required)
- 12. Ability to maintain a regular schedule, on-time attendance, and availability to work Honors activities and events, remotely or in person. (required)
