As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism, in a residential setting. **Duties**:
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Respect and uphold resident rights and confidentiality
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in direct support, childcare, caregiving, or patient care is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to work with individuals with diverse needs, including those on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing situations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
