After School Inclusion Coordinator

The Inclusion Coordinators oversee the development and implementation of inclusive and adaptive programs and services for MCS participants needing assistance or accommodations at each site. The Inclusion Coordinator is the chief information source between the before/after school programs, the schools, and families. The position is under the direction of the site supervisor and is responsible for hiring, supervising, coordinating, and training Inclusion Aides as needed.

This is a year-round part-time position starting mid-August, operating Monday through Friday. After-school hours are 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Some of the responsibilities include:

- Provide direction, guidance, and assistance to students; effectively manage and support social, emotional, and behavioral needs; monitor behaviors and functional life skills; and ensure student safety and security.
- Manage the inclusion aide team, including recruitment, interviewing, training, support, and evaluation.
- Design, develop, and implement social, emotional, and behavioral interventions to support students' ability to participate fully in group activities.
- Maintain constant communication with site supervisors, families, and school staff to develop individual plans to provide reasonable accommodations to children with disabilities and special needs within group settings during enrichment and recreational activities.
- Maintain appropriate records, assist, and provide guidance to all program staff in implementing social, emotional, and behavioral interventions.
- Develop and monitor incentive programs to encourage and monitor individual and large group pro-social behavior and active engagement in enrichment activities.
- Create and execute professional development sessions for all program staff regarding behavior management, SEL, social justice practices, and other topics as appropriate.
- In conjunction with other team members, maintain a positive, inclusive environment for children and staff.
- Perform related duties involving identified children as may be designated by the site Supervisor of the program and Director.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**
- Associate degree (Preferred related field Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, the Arts)
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a behavior interventionist/counselor working with children with diverse needs. ABA or RBT cert preferred
- Expertise in the field of Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
- All prospective staff will be required to undergo background checks and fingerprints.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, walk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to run during play or responding to an emergency. Employees are frequently required to engage with children on the floor and at their eye level. Employees are frequently required to use their hands and arms to handle and manipulate objects as well as reach. Vision abilities are required for supervision of children.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**: The noise level in work environment is moderate to very loud. The work environment includes classroom and outdoor playgrounds and occasional field trips. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

**SALARY**: The rate of pay is commensurate with experience/education.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
