Full Time Dog Trainer at Dog Training School

**“I Said Sit” School for Dogs** is seeking a dog trainer to join our team. Our training methods are rewards based, primarily utilizing positive reinforcement training. We utilize science based training. You must share a common training style.
- Certified trainer, experienced with clients and classes.(upper pay range, and we help pay for CEUs to maintain certifications)
- We are open to talented trainers with out certification who are interested in pursuing a certification.
**Responsibilities inluding but not limited to**:
- Teaching clients in one on one sessions
- Running classes
- Working daily with dogs in day school or boarding for lessons
- Experience with or willing to learn to work with reactive/fearful/anxious/aggressive dogs
- Share and create educational materials
- Keep detailed training records and follow up with clients
- Supervising small playgroups
- Recommending nonaversive retail products
- Helping track and manage facility needs
- Fill in with kennel duties as needed
**Qualifications include**:
- Understanding of and experience with reward based training of basic obedience
- Experience teaching class and one on one session
- Hand on experience training a variety of dogs
- Ability to get to work on time with reliable transportation
- Excellent people skills
- Hands on experience with training dogs and coaching people
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend shift

**About “I Said Sit” School for Dogs**:
“I Said Sit” School for Dogs has been a well known pillar in the community for over 30 years. Our 5,000 sq ft indoor training facility is busy with new students and we expect this pandemic to keep lots of new puppies coming in for training help.
**Join our team and begin helping dogs and their people stay together with dog friendly training methods.**
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
