- Under the direction and guidance of the Program Director, the Instructor is responsible for the training requirements of the Climate Works Pre-apprenticeship Program. The instructor will oversee the delivery of all required classroom, hands
- on, and worksite training throughout each region and facilitate training as required.**Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)**:
- Coordinates with TradesFutures and monitors the facilitation of the NABTU Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) and the National Center for Construction Education & Research curricula (NCCER).
- Coordinates the delivery of the Worker’s Right Curriculum.
- Monitors the coordination of job sites and apprenticeship tours.
- Coordinates with regional instructors to support test preparation and career exploration.
- Creates and submits curriculum evaluations for the purpose of improving program services.
- Provide feedback to partner organizations that will enhance their training.
- Facilitates and/or assist in the delivery of various workshop such as but not limited to financial literacy; mock interviews; civility in the workplace; workplace bullying; stress management; managing workplace anxiety; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and entrepreneurship/business development.
- Coordinates with regional transition service staff to ensure the timely and successful transition of training graduates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)**:
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Comfortable teaching math
- Familiar with Adult education
- Commitment to continual process improvement, the spirit of innovation and teamwork
- Adaptability: demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, versatile, and tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency with a prioritized workload.

**Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities**:
- Minimum of High School diploma, post-secondary education is preferred.
- Nonprofit experience is a plus
- Construction trades or education experience is preferred.
- Prior workforce development experience is preferred.
**Physical Demands and Work Environment**
- Talking in-person/on the phone consistently.
- Requires reliable transportation including state mandated insurance and valid driver's license.
**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**
- In-person and virtually as needed
- Frequent evenings and weekends.

- Significant travel across Central and Southern Illinois including Peoria, Rockford, Champaign, DeKalb, Bloomington, Pekin, Decatur, Belleville, East Alton, Alton, and Springfield
