- Insurance Verification Specialist_

The Insurance Specialist is responsible for obtaining information on patient's eligibility status with insurance companies to ensure proper coverage and payment for services—while providing exceptional customer service.

**_Major Duties and Responsibilities:_**
- Properly analyzes various payer eligibility responses to find the information needed to complete the verification.
- Accurately inputs data collected into software programs.
- Communicates the information received to appropriate staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology a plus.
- Prior understanding of policy deductibles, co pays, coinsurance and out of pocket maximums, out of network deductions and exclusions a plus.
- Properly documents all communication that they receive from insurance provider representatives.
- Provides excellent customer service skills to maintain healthy relationships with insurance providers.
- Maintains self-control when dealing with difficult situations.
- Follows all HIPAA, compliance, privacy and confidentiality standards.

**_Minimum Qualifications:_**
- One year of experience with Insurance / Verifications/ or phone customer service skills.
- HS Diploma. College degree preferred.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with their peers and the insurance company representatives.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi task, and meet necessary deadlines.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
