Surgical Scheduling Admin Support

Otolaryngology Associates, P.C, is seeking a Surgical Scheduling Admin to assist the Surgery Scheduling Department in procuring pre-operative lab reports, imaging, and other medical records required prior to surgery. The Admin will contact patients to ensure that they have received all pre and post op instructions and have scheduled their post operative appointment, if applicable. Will be responsible for scanning and faxing (e-faxing) pre-operative documents to the facilities and follow-up on missing items. They contact patients to relay/confirm surgical start and arrival times for the appropriate facility. They confirm benefit information and obtain authorization for procedures and Labs, when needed. Notifies patient via phone regarding early admissions, unforeseen cancellations, or any other surgically specific occurrence.

**Required qualification**:
Education: High school graduate is required and an Associates degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one year of work experience in a medical office setting. Familiarity with surgery scheduling is required. Work processing and computer skills are essential. Knowledge of Medical terminology is desirable.

Applicant must possess efficient multitasking skills and is required to be a team player. Must have excellent written and communication skills. This position requires the ability to effectively organize and prioritize duties in a timely, efficient and customer service friendly manner.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
