The Arrhythmia Monitoring Technician position is an opportunity with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. This role is a great opportunity to get experience in CCT and CRAT training with room for upward mobility.

$4,500.00 Bonus Eligible:

- Full time status at BIDMC is considered for schedules greater than or equal to 30 hours per week; part time status is 20 to 29 hours per week. Please note, per diem employees are not eligible for sign on bonuses.

Provides technical assistance and administrative/clerical support to Holter Lab, staff and patients. Performs Event Monitor analysis. Learns to recognize and identify arrhythmias through training in the lab.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Schedules appointments and checks in patients. Answers phones, elicits information from patients in order to triage phone calls and distinguish emergent, urgent and routine problems. (essential)
- Accesses patient transmissions and final report summaries from out-source platforms. Performs analysis of daily tracings and writes final reports for MD review. Assembles medical charts per Joint Commission standards and ensures all records contain accurate patient identification and documentation/paperwork. (essential)
- Instructs patients about operation of and troubleshoots equipment problems as needed. Maintains monitor and supply inventory; maintains an accurate numeric log number for all monitors which is used for billing and statistical purposes. (essential).
- Performs ECG analysis. Learns and develops skills to recognize and identify more complex arrhythmias, and assessment of waveform durations through ongoing training in the lab. Rotates weekend coverage with Arrhythmia Techs and works independently. (essential)

**Required Qualifications**:

- High School diploma or GED required.
- Certificate 1 Certified Cardiographic Tech preferred.
- 1-3 years related work experience required.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or a related field is strongly preferred. Familiarity with anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
- Minimum of 1 year training or experience in cardiac technology, cardiac monitoring or event monitor analysis is preferred or certification as Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Cardiac Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT).

- ** Team Work**:Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.
- ** Customer Service**:Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner.

**Age based Competencies**:

**Physical Nature of the Job**:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
