Assistant Controller

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for assisting in the financial management and reporting activities of the company. This is a key role that requires strong financial acumen and expertise in various accounting principles and software.

**Duties**:

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Manage accounts payable function, including processing invoices and payments
- Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and filings
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls
- Provide support for audits and other financial reviews
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification is preferred
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations (IFRS)
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and journal entries
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
