**POSITION**: Nutrition Specialist

**DIVISION**: Family Health Services

**WAGES**: Grade 12 Hourly Wages ($23.98 - $34.73)

Under the supervision of the Division Director through immediate supervisors; plans, organizes and evaluates nutrition component of Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Conducts group education, health assessments and certifies clients eligible for WIC. Performs hemoglobin screenings; assess needs for health and social services; develops an individual care plan in conjunction with clients; periodic assessments, follow-up, and referral activities. Schedule calls for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. Wednesday hours 10:30am-6:30pm. Must be flexible to work at satellite clinics and hours as assigned, including evenings.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**: Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Dietetics, or Food Nutrition.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and minimum auto liability insurance. Verification of U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility.

**DESIRED**: Bilingual in Spanish, but not required.
