**Job Description**:
**Results Statement**:
The mission of the Safety Coordinator/Fleet Manager for HVJ Associates, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the Department Managers or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines. This includes responsibility for:

- Maintain safety of the facility and surrounding area
- Maintain job related safety as needed
- Perform monthly safety meetings and road tests
- Perform New Employee Safety Orientations
- Manage Fleet and assign trucks to technicians as needed
- Maintain Vehicle Checklists, Inspections, Camera installations, and Driving/Fleet Safety Records
- Communications with other departments as needed

**Ongoing Work**:

- The local Fleet Manager provides monthly fleet inspections to Corporate, so that the fleet of vehicles are in good and safe working order and providing a professional image to HVJ clients, business associates, and the public.
- As a safety manager he reviews safety scores and is in constant communication with all personnel who drive company vehicles.
- Collecting monthly Vehicle Status Reports using the approved forms which are to be completed by the assigned drivers, making a quick 2 min verification once over inspection similar to what is done when you rent a car and maintaining the local records
- Meet with staff after automobile accidents to collect input information using approved HVJ forms
- Review safety scores weekly and communicate with drivers as needed.
- Perform monthly safety trainings to all employees
- Perform road tests for all drivers
- Perform safety orientations as needed
- Assist CoMET Lab Manager
- Maintain Equipment
- Provide assistance to field staff
- Provide training to field staff when required
- Assist in setting up training and certification classes
- Coordinate facility related matters with FA Team as required
- Maintain employee records and copy other departments when required

**Key Criteria/Requirements**
- Possess High School Diploma
- Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples as a routine part of the job.
- Ability to tolerate year-round outdoor work
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses
