**Nantucket Lobster Trap Restaurant & Companies**:
The Nantucket Lobster Trap restaurant is a family owned business that has been in operation since the early 1980’s. We have recently expanded to include Food Trucks which service the local Cisco Brewery and private functions. Last year we debuted our newest ‘Take Out Window’ program. Food service operations take place April through December.
The Nantucket Bay Scallop Trading Company, a division of The Nantucket Lobster Trap Inc. operates during the moths of October through December, during which time we harvest, process and sell fresh Nantucket Bay Scallops.
Currently all operations are run by co-owners Alex and Drew. We have an in house bookkeeper/office manager on staff who has been with us for 20 years. At this time, we are seeking a new member to join the management team with the intent of beginning a long term professional relationship.
**General scope of work**:
A year-round position assisting in all aspects of business operations taking place at the restaurant, food trucks & employee housing locations. A general breakdown of workload throughout season is as follows:
**Jan-April (25hrs/wk)**:Position may work remotely during this period**
- Maintenance projects at restaurant location, food trucks and employee housing.
- H2B visa filing/processing/ traveling.
- Actively recruiting FOH & BOH staff
- Developing marketing/ advertising strategies, media & budgets for upcoming season of operations.
- Scheduling seasonal inspections and license renewals
- Preparing media (social & physical) for upcoming season
- Menus
- Advertisements
- etc.
**April-October (55hrs/wk)**:
- Manage FOH operations
- Staffing
- Scheduling
- FOH Staff
- Private Events
- Accounting/reporting
- Daily cash reports & employee cash outs
- Liquor/wine/beer inventory
- Monitoring product
- Ordering product
- Executing marketing/ advertising strategies
**October-December (35hrs/wk)**:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Stroll
- Takeout window
- H2B Visa filing
- Scallop Season
- Scallop Operations management
- Manage small staff in the following:
- Processing
- Packaging
- Shipping
- Administrative
- End of seasonal operations
- Yearly evaluations
**Compensation**:
- $130,000/yr salary
**Available Accommodations**:
- 1,200+ft/sq finished cottage offered for rent. Fully finished basement, laundry machines, first floor living area with kitchen and bath. Loft office/bedroom. $2,500/mo utilities not included. **(offer may only be available starting second year of contract depending on when contract is signed) ** Other housing is available for first season.
**Position notes, prerequisite requirements, etc.**:
- Assistant General Manager position will work alongside bookkeeper and owner-operator Alex to ensure the above mentioned workload is completed to highest standards achievable.
- Position is expected to be present and motivated to complete workload requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant or other relevant hospitality industry required.
- May work remote Jan-March
