Education Specialist- Sas: Los Angeles

Lead the way in providing compensatory supplemental academic support to special needs students in a 1:1 home setting. Create an immersive educational environment that cultivates learning, all with the flexibility to tailor it to your schedule.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Personalized Education**:Implement tailored academic support by reviewing student records and identifying specific educational needs.
**Collaborative Approach**:Work closely with parents, therapists, and other providers to contribute to the student's comprehensive treatment plan.
**Innovative Teaching**:Design dynamic lesson plans using current teaching methods, ensuring active student participation. Assign independent homework to reinforce learning.
**Qualifications**:
- Teaching Credential: Hold a California Teaching Credential (Specialized - moderate/severe or mild/moderate with autism authorization).
- Previous experience in education with a focus on IEP-based services preferred.
- Available to support students with life skills, money management, and time management
- Successful completion of all employment requirements, including the clearance of mandatory background records (e.g., Department of Justice, Child Abuse, California Community Care Licensing, County Sanction List, etc.).
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
