Vital Village Networks (VVN) works to solve intractable social inequities in health and educational outcomes by building local community capacity to promote health and wellbeing through peer-led, community-driven strategies, research, data
- sharing, and collective action. The Vital Village neighborhoods of focus: Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury have the highest percentages of children aged 0-5 years old, 20%, 11%, and 11% respectively, and have the highest concentration of children living in poverty within all of Massachusetts (42%). VVN place-based, community engagement network mobilizes collective investment from residents, community organizations and institutions to seed scalable and sustainable community change around child protection and promoting healthy social and emotional development in early childhood.

**Member Duties**: The Evaluation and Participatory Research Coordinator will build capacity to collect and use data for decision-making and tracking child health, evaluation and performance improvement, and to support collaboration with community member’s around participatory research. Job specific duties may include: -Support improvements in program evaluation by collecting, tracking, and analyzing data on interventions to improve child development and school readiness. -Support the development of data coordination and analysis systems. -Curate content for Vital Village Network website, newsletter, blogs focused on research and evaluation practices and strategies. -Develop communications to increase dissemination of research and evaluation findings with community residents
