Barista/Shift Lead
- 320 Coffee & Creamery currently has part-time and full-time openings for Team Member positions at the WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY location on Cass ave in Midtown, Detroit, MI. Must be willing to work a minimum of 18 hrs to maintain part time employment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Working in the retail store, baristas provide courteous, knowledgeable outstanding customer service through excellent product knowledge and superior barista skills. Baristas support all sales efforts in the retail stores through outstanding customer service, beverages prepared according to -320 C&C's highest standards, and a commitment to quality in all of the goods the company offers.

The Shift Lead assists the General Manager with all aspects of the coffeebar’s daily operations. The Shift Lead supervises staff and demonstrates outstanding hospitality skills through the execution of high quality beverages, customer engagement, excellent product knowledge and superior barista skills.

THIS ROLE INVOLVES
- Greeting customers with a smile and strive for the highest level of customer satisfaction
- The ability to consistently be a friendly, inviting, personality to every customer
- Being a knowledgable resource to customers on all of our products
- Regular taste-testing of coffee to ensure quality as well as some palate training
- Accurately processing transactions in our POS system
- Communicating with team members and management to solve problems and improve service
- Fostering and supporting a respectful work environment and positive team atmosphere
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift at least 25 pounds and climb up/down stairs

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $13.00 - $17.00/hour.
