**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare Oral Health Assessment (OHA) Schedule: Coordinate and manage the schedule for virtual oral health assessments using TeleDent and ECW (Electronic Clinical Workflow) systems. Ensure proper scheduling and efficient utilization of resources.
- Perform OHA Procedures: Conduct virtual oral health assessments with patients using TeleDent, following established protocols and guidelines. Assist the remote dentist in gathering necessary information, such as medical history, dental records, and diagnostic data.
- Track OHAs and Appointments: Maintain accurate records of completed oral health assessments and appointments within the TeleDent system. Update patient files with relevant information, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Communicate Findings: Collaborate with the remote dentist to communicate findings and recommendations to the patient for follow-up visits. Ensure prompt and accurate transmission of information to facilitate continuity of care.
- Assist Remote Dentist: Act as a liaison between in-person patients and the remote dentist, relaying information, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Provide support to the remote dentist during virtual consultations and examinations.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and safeguard patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain the privacy and security of patient data during virtual interactions.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties, including data entry, documentation, and record management related to virtual oral health assessments. Assist in organizing and maintaining patient files and records.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a dental assisting program is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting or customer service role is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in using telemedicine platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interaction with patients, colleagues, and the remote dentist.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately record and document patient information.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and instruments is desirable.
- Flexibility and adaptability to embrace technological advancements and workflow changes.
- CPR certification may be required, depending on the specific clinic's policies.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
