The Plus Group is seeking Medical Assistants for temporary to possible hire positions in Atwater and surrounding areas

The ideal candidate would be dedicated, compassionate, and motivated to take the next step in their healthcare career. As a Medical Assistant, you can expect a long-term, full-time position with a major medical center and 24/7 administrative support from The Plus Group team so that you can focus on building your professional experience and expanding your network of industry contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Check with patients and type up patients charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Qualifications:

Bilingual English/Spanish REQUIRED

Medical Assistant Diploma with 3 months experience

Schedule:

Mon - Fri rotating weekends (varies based on demand)

We offer:

A dependable, long-term position with a large non profit medical center

Medical Insurance (after 30 days)

Sick Pay (after 90 days)

Assignment: temp to hire for right fit if they have a permanent opening within 6 month timeframe.
