Homestead Living is a family-owned and operated memory care facility in Waunakee. We are home to 16 adults living with memory impairment.

We are looking for a Life Enrichment Director, around whom we can build a compassionate, self-starting, and professional activity team. Great opportunity for someone looking to build or continue a social services career while enriching the lives of people living with Alzheimer's.

We are hoping to hire someone with experience as an Activity Professional who has worked in memory care. We are looking for someone at the top of their game who can come in and lead our Activity Team on day one.

The Life Enrichment Director at Homestead living will lead the Life Enrichment Team, create an Activity Calendar, and handle the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage our residents; tailoring their programming to each of our individual residents’ needs. They will coordinate volunteers and resources to deliver meaningful enrichment and engagement to all of our residents.

The Life Enrichment Director will welcome our residents' families, volunteers, and community into our building; coordinating volunteer and communication efforts, including a newsletter, events, and community outreach initiatives.

The Life Enrichment Director will work in partnership with our Nurse/Administrator to create Individualized Service Plans and activity goals for each of our residents. They will create memory books for each new resident upon admission. They will create personalized activity kits and playlists for each of our residents. They will mentor their team and the caregiving team on approaches for each of our residents.

The Life Enrichment Director will work in partnership with our caregiving team; helping to serve meals, greeting visitors at the door and on the phone, and meeting caregiving emergencies as needed. The LED will work to ensure that Homestead Living is a welcoming and team-oriented place.

The Life Enrichment Director will prioritize our residents' safety while working to create person-centered moments of meaning and purpose in our residents' lives.

They will be friendly, front-footed self-starters, with excellent communication and customer service skills, who are able to complete tasks in a timely manner.

This is a 40 an hour a week, salaried position. The right applicant will have a flexible schedule with weekend availability, but will have the ability to choose their own schedule.

**Life Enrichment Director Responsibilities**:
Leading a small Life Enrichment Team.

Planning and facilitating daily, weekly, and monthly events for our residents and families.

Tailoring enrichment activities to our residents’ personal needs, tastes, and abilities.

Coordinating volunteers.

Working as part of the Homestead Team. Occasionally assisting caregivers as needed or in an emergency.

Reporting medical concerns or observations.

Adhering to and enforcing all safety procedures.

**Life Enrichment Director Requirements**:
Education or experience with memory care, nursing, hospice, assisted living, social work recreational activities, event planning, or related preferred.

Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are living with memory impairment and who may be from different backgrounds.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
