Title: Business Development - Motor Controls

Direct Hire Opportunity

Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite

25% Travel/overnight trips


Requirements:


  • 3-5+ years' experience in the Application and Sales of Variable Frequency Inverter Drives/motor controllers
  • Knowledgeable in related power and automation system components such as motors, reducers PLCs, HMIs, I/O components
  • Has a successful track record of converting high volume OEM accounts
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or would consider a Mechanical Engineering focus with expertise on electronic hardware and electronic bus communication systems.
  • Comfortable with working in an engineering shop area testing products, reviewing work (assembly & manufacturing) for technical consultation
  • Familiar with standard industrial sales channels and customer classes
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility at all levels of target customer's organizations by having a comprehensive technical understanding of clients products; including Executive level to Product Engineering Managers
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Strong organization & time management skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision


Responsibilities:


  • Lead all strategic sales activities related to Control Products ( industrial process control, motor control, etc.).
  • Growing Control Product sales through the conversion of qualified High Revenue Targeted Accounts.
  • Understanding the Control Products development pipeline, including any new product launch dates.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for Control Products.
  • Develop mechanism for tracking the conversion process using CRM and determining when targets have been converted or are no longer valid.
  • Give pre-sale selection and application assistance for variable frequency inverters and inverter/vector duty motors.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in the creation of sales tools, marketing documentation, product launches, OEM planning, and internal/external training activities.
  • Participate and help coordinate sales calls to targets with control application engineers.
  • Work with local and global Industry Management and Key Account Management teams to gain user specification.
  • Develop customer and sales representative relationships.
  • Coordinate with mechanical engineering team as required on mechatronic solutions.
  • Provide quotations and utilize SAP systems.
  • Conduct application verification.
