Medical Assistant/medical Receptionist

**PREVIOUS RECENT EXPERIENCE IN A MEDICAL OFFICE REQUIRED**

~MEDICAL ASSISTANT DUTIES

The Medical Assistant assists providers in all exams and minor office procedures; maintaining supply inventory in exam rooms; cleaning and sterilizing equipment; unpacking all supplies; giving injections and drawing blood.

Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height. Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and information such as test results in medical records.

Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.

Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections and removing sutures.

Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.

Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.

Phone consultation with clients regarding test results & health concerns.

~MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST DUTIES

Must have computer skills (we are a completely paperless office)

Must be a team player and able to multi task. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Greet and welcome patients when they enter as well as patient check-in/check-out

Verify demographics (name, insurance, address, phone number and pharmacy)

MUST have experience with verifying medical insurance online and over the phone

Appointment scheduling

Scan and upload documents

Answer multi-phone lines and take detailed messages

Collection of co-pays and deductibles with the ability to clearly explain patient benefits & financial responsibility

Any other duties as assigned by providers and management

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
