The Express Lube Technician is also responsible for communicating with the management team, service consultant and the guest at all points of service repair. The Express Lube Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $18.75.

**Responsibilities**:
- Performing oil changes on guest vehicles
- Inspecting oil, cabin, air filters, and vehicle fluid levels and replaces or replenishes as necessary
- Checks tire pressures and adds air, as needed
- Rotates tires and inspects brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs
- Performs a thorough check of guest’s vehicles, refers needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Consultant
- Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet
- Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment
- Assists the service department as needed
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Maintains assigned workspace organized and clean
- Maintains high ethical standards in all actions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Automotive Program/School preferred
- A minimum of one (1) year automotive repair experience, desired; or a combination of education and experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
- Must have great attention to detail and ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
- A California driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record are required
**Physical Demands**
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to:
- Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
- Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
