We are hiring immediately for Jockey Driver's to join our team working at the Industrial Rd Norfolk Southern Railyard in Harrisburg, PA in a recession proof industry This is an entry level position with on the job training. We'll teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful on the job. No Experience is required. The job is a combination of a Hostler Driver and Ground Person as they are 1 and the same job.

**Compensation**:

- $19.50/hr (overtime rate is $29.25)
- 2 raises each in your 1st and 2nd year, 1 raise yearly after year 3.
- Potential to earn $55,000 - $70,000 annually in hourly pay with overtime.

**We're hiring for the below shift start time: (These will be ElGHT hour shifts with a mandatory four hour holdover when necessary)**
- 5:00 PM
- 10:00 PM

**Qualifications: (NO RAILROAD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)**
- Be at least 18yrs old & have a valid Driver's License.
- Pass a 7 year background check. (Felonies in the last 7 yrs, jail time, parole, or probation in the last 5 yrs or pending charges could disqualify applicants)
- Pass a drug test & a Physical Capabilities Test.
- No GED or diploma required
- Strong communication skills required

**Responsibilities**:

- A Hostler and a Jockey are the same thing.
- Drive a jockey truck moving 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the yard.
- Completing various Groundperson duties, climbing on and off railcars, locking and unlocking tracks, putting in and taking out inner box connectors (IBC's).
- Assist packer operators in loading and unloading the equipment using hand signals.
- Assist in the process of stacking and unstacking chassis as well as loading and unloading chassis racks
- Other assigned duties.

This job would be suitable for persons looking for jobs in a warehouse, as a delivery driver, a forklift driver, working outdoors, ,a laborer, doing landscaping, and working in a railyard.

**You'll be working directly with us at Pacific Rail Services and will not be employed by the railroad.**

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
