Resort Operations Analyst

**Summary**
**Essential Functions**
- Must be effective at understanding and clarifying business analysis needs for Room, F&B and other operational managers.
- Must be effective in handling challenges through anticipating, identifying, and solving problems, as necessary.
- Must be able to understand and help support complex information, software and data that is necessary for managing hotel operations rooms and outlets.
- Labor Management,
- PMS,
- POS,
- Sales & Catering,
- Inventory,
- Club Management, and others.
- Writing skills with proven ability to develop, document and maintain operational policies and procedures, including the designing and documenting detailed process flows, and the development of operational performance and
- Working with database tools including Excel and Power BI for preparing management with monthly and weekly spreadsheet reports.
**Internal Relationships**
Reports to George Stemper, Director of Business Analytics
**External Relationships**
Has regular contact with the Finance and Accounting Team
**Qualifications**
- Ability to translate business objectives into technical product requirements for development.
- Experience writing business requirements, Standard operating procedures, user guides and functional specifications.
- Experience with Web, Mobile, and native Windows products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have experience using hotel software systems.
- Must maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational need.
- Analyze drivers of hotel operating results and recommend actions to help drive operations projects to improve efficiency and profitability of hotels and F&B outlet operations.
- Prepare and optimize daily/weekly/monthly operations reporting to inform and enable property and operations management.
- Participate in forecasting and budgeting processes as required.
- Ability to analyze a large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Experience with hotels systems a plus such as: Opera, IG Agilysys, Delphi, Jonas, SpaSoft, Unifocus, Seven Rooms, etc.
**Education/Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel or General Business Administration or Information Systems is required.
- Minimum of 1+ year experience in related hotel operations and analytics management fields.
