Dog Daycare Overnight Handler

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to join our team as an Overnight Handler. As an Overnight Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and happiness of our furry guests outside of our operating hours. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with animals and wants to make a positive impact on their lives.

**Duties**:

- Supervise and monitor dogs in the facility to ensure their well-being
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces
- Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with care and confidence
- Communicate effectively with Shift Leads, providing updates on dog's activities and behavior

**Skills**:

- Strong animal handling skills, including the ability to safely restrain dogs when necessary
- Previous experience in pet sitting or as a veterinary technician is beneficial
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed for dog care tasks
- Previous experience with overnight shifts of any kind is a plus
- Ability to work independently and complete a task list
- Knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques

This role would entail a two-week daytime training period during operations hours where you would train as a regular Handler. Once the training period is over, the schedule of this position would change to be two to three 10 hour shifts each week. M-F, the shifts are 8:15pm - 6:45am, Sa/Su, 7:15pm - 6:45am. The duties of the Overnight Handler are largely janitorial in nature and would not involve monitoring playtime. There would be the option of a mixed schedule of Overnight shifts and regular Handler shifts.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
