**Position Summary**:
The position of Single-Family Underwriter 2 is responsible for review and evaluation of single-family housing loans, ensuring compliance and creditworthiness. Performs as a more senior Underwriter, also providing coaching and mentoring to Underwriter 1.

**Salary Information**:
Hiring Range for this position is from $61,044 to $75,195 Annually. Offered Salary will be based on qualifications and internal pay equity.

**Job Details**:

- Provides customer service responding to questions by applicants, and communicating loan decisions including approvals, denials, and problem resolution.
- Manages individual pipeline daily by completing daily assigned underwriting reviews, condition reviews and other underwriting tasks within established turn times.
- Participates in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Participates in the development, testing, and implementation of new products or systems related to residential credit.
- Provides training and outreach for external and internal customers, which includes developing training content, selecting materials, and facilitating training sessions.
- Performs or assists with other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Associates Degree in real estate, finance, or related field, AND 2 years of experience as an Assistant Underwriter or Underwriter 1; OR equivalent combination of education and experience Direct Endorsement (DE) designation preferred.
