Documentation Supervisor

Shield HealthCare is looking for a **Documentation Supervisor **to assist in the supervision and coordination of operational and personnel activities within the documentation department.

**This is an on-site position in Valencia, CA.**

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Review and monitor workflow
- Hold departmental meetings with staff and conduct one on one meeting’s with direct reports
- Examination of special orders
- Monitor Daily/Weekly status of progress within unit
- Research and respond to questions as they arise
- Works with other department supervisory staff in communicating billing requirement issues or changes
- Interview, select, and ensure orientation, of departmental personnel
- Development, coaching, counseling/discipline and training of staff

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 3+ years supervisory experience of a minimum staff of 6
- Detail Oriented and strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with various Insurance Payers guidelines/billing requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
