Department Summary: The Office of Alumni Relations partners with the UCLA Anderson Alumni Network Board of Directors to ensure that UCLA Anderson continues to be a vital partner in the professional success and personal growth of our alumni. Position Summary:
Salary & Compensation: *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. - Proven experience in managing complex, multi-functional organizations of significant scale. Ability to provide strong leadership to oversee program development, alumni relationship management. (required)
- Progressively responsible management experience in alumni relations, student affairs, marketing or (business) development in higher education, business or related fields. (required)
- Demonstrated success in overseeing design and implementation of short and long term strategic plans with measurable outcomes. Ability to secure and deploy resources to achieve organizational goals. (required)
- Fundraising or comparable business development experience. Skill in developing and implementing successful strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individuals. (required)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate data in planning, decision making, and performance measurement. Ability to assess complex issues and lead teams in the development of effective solutions that serve the best interests of the institution. (required)
- Knowledge of the business community and a network of contacts that can be leveraged to promote Anderson to relevant audiences. Proven executive level relationship building skills to enhance the school's reputation. (required)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Positive, engaging and motivating personality. Ability to effectively and enthusiastically represent UCLA Anderson and make professional presentations in large and small group settings. (required)
- Outstanding interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate, work collaboratively with and provide senior staff assistance to the Dean, Senior Associate Dean, development colleagues, board members, volunteer groups, alumni, donors, high profile executives, faculty, students and University admin. (required)
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal direction, balancing multiple priorities and responsibilities in a demanding environment. Strong team orientation. High level of initiative and flexibility; open to innovative ideas and solutions. (required)
- Excellent judgment, time management and organizational skills. Able to diffuse sensitive situations using tact, diplomacy and discretion. (required)
- Ability to oversee the development of a wide range of marketing, branding and communication strategies, including social media, for effective marketing to alumni and students in regional, national and global settings. (required)
- Proven ability to develop and manage operating budgets, including profit and loss responsibility, as well as to oversee financial analysis and reporting, in order to manage resources effectively. (required)
- Ability to collaborate with, and provide counsel to, information technology professionals in the development and deployment of complex systems for alumni relationship management, in support of the institution's external affairs mission, and in alignment with strategic goals. (required)
- Ability to lead high performance teams. Demonstrated skill in selecting, supervising, developing and managing the performance of skilled professional and support staff and volunteers. (required)
- Alumni of UCLA Anderson (preferred), who understand the passion that students and alumni share as members of the Anderson family, and the accompanying tangible and intangible benefits that such a background provides. (preferred)

Education, Licenses, Certifications, & Professional Affiliations:

- Other Type of Degree MBA or equivalent degree. (preferred)

Special Conditions of Employment:

- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends. (required)
- Ability to travel overnight, domestically and internationally, and conduct business with other cultures in international settings.
