About the Position:
We are seeking a passionate **Parent Educator** to join our team In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthy development of young children and strengthening families through the Parents as Teachers (PAT) Model. You will be responsible for providing home visits, conducting developmental screenings, and leading parent-child interactions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement the PAT Model with families and children ages 0-36 months with developmental disabilities.
- Conduct in-home/community visits to provide services for the child and parent.
- Provide in-home sessions to families that qualify to receive services through the Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center catchment location. Which may include but is not limited to Pasadena, East Los Angeles, Alhambra, Rosemead, Pico Rivera, Whittier, La Mirada, etc...
- Assess children's development and identify areas of strength and need.
- Provide parents with information, resources, and support to promote their child's development.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure that families receive the services they need.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications:

- Min A.A. in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
- Certification in Parents as Teachers (PAT) model preferred - not required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants/toddlers and families.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Culturally competent and sensitive to diverse backgrounds.
- Strong commitment to the well-being of children and families.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Additional Information:

- Location: In-person
- Salary: $22.00 -$23.00 hour + mileage reimbursement
- Parent Educators get paid even if the client cancels the session.
- Schedules available: Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (Part-time or Full-time options)
- Applicants must hold a valid CA Driver’s License and insurance for their vehicle.

**Physical Demands of this position**:

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally moves about inside of the office to access office machinery, supplies, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, (i.e., printer/copier and calculator).
- Constantly operates a motor vehicle to travel between offices, client homes, and the community.
- Constantly needs to position self to effectively interact with infants and toddlers of lesser stature.
- Frequently transports materials (supplies, toys, books, etc.) weighing up to 50 pounds for parent-child activities.
