**Duties**:
The mission of the Office of Stockpile Sustainment is to maintain and enhance the safety, reliability, and performance of the United States nuclear weapon stockpile. To accomplish this, the Office of Stockpile Sustainment directs the planning and execution of stockpile sustainment programs, from design through production to dismantlement/disposition. The Office of Stockpile Sustainment serves as the single integrating organization and Department of Defense interface for issues and activities relating to the U.S. nuclear weapon stockpile.

As the Assistant Deputy Administrator for Stockpile Sustainment, you will be responsible:

- Developing, managing, directing, and overseeing all stockpile weapons (B61, W76, W78, W80, B83, W87,and W88), stockpile activities to meet defense program requirements.
- Directing near-term and long-term planning for nuclear weapons maintenance, surveillance, refurbishment, dismantlement, modification, and production. Implements technical, schedule, and budget requirements for operations related to, but not limited to, surety, reliability, and quality.
- Establishing stockpile requirements, plans, and policies for execution of stockpile management activities and ensuring production and replacement of limited-life components.
- Communicating project updates to the NNSA Administrator, Department of Energy officials, and external stakeholders, including the Department of Defense, National Security Council, Office of Management and Budget, Congress, state and local officials, and non-governmental organizations.

**HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE (HSPD-12)**: A selectee's appointment is contingent upon compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) governing personal identity. May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test, random testing after appointment.

**PUBLIC FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE REPORT (OGE 278)**: If you are selected for this position, will be required to file this report prior to entry on duty in accordance with the Ethics of Government Act of 1978.
**PROBATIONARY PERIOD**: An individual's initial SES career appointment becomes final only after the individual successfully completes a one-year probationary period.
**SECURITY CLEARANCE**:Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.

**MOBILITY**: A mobility agreement may be required based on mission needs.

**OF-306**:You may be required to complete an OF-306, "Declaration for Federal Employment" form used to (a) determine your suitability for Federal Employment and/or (b) in conducting an investigation to determine your suitability or ability to hold a security clearance.

**Qualifications**:
