House Coordinator Job Description

**Job Summary**:
The House Coordinator at Road to Renewal plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for residents within our reentry program. This position combines the responsibilities of a Program Monitor with a focus on overseeing daily chores, cleanliness of common areas, and ensuring the overall tidiness of residents' living spaces. The House Coordinator is also responsible for ServSafe training, providing oversight to meal preparation, and other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

**Responsibilities**:

- Fulfill the standard duties and responsibilities of a Program Monitor, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
- Supervise and monitor the health and safety of residents in the program.
- Completion of daily monitoring and communication log.
- Assisting residents in following daily schedule and routines.
- Assist with resident needs and daily requirements.
- Assist with daily operations such as food shopping, meal preparation, monitoring of chores, household tasks as assigned.
- Train and guide residents in safe and sanitary food handling practices.
- Provide supervision and assistance in meal planning and preparation.
- Ensure that meals align with nutritional guidelines and program standards.
- Collaborate with residents to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Responsible for maintaining the staffing ratio as assigned by the Program Director; (remaining on-site as directed by supervisor).
- Provide immediate assistance and support during crisis situations, including emotional distress or aggression, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Assist Community Support Specialist with daily check ins with residents such as calling to verify location or to verify employment.
- Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity in all interactions, recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of clients.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the reentry program team, including case managers, Assistant Program Director, and external service providers, to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to client support.
- Adhere to all Programmatic Policies and Procedures, including Driving Policy.
- Occasional transportation of residents is possible.
- Adhere to LHI employee handbook rules.
- Appropriate utilization of on-call procedures.
- Responsible for the immediate notification of safety/health/legal issues happening in the program (resident or programmatic), including completing an Internal or Critical Incident Report form.
- Complete medication training with program nurse or Medication Specialist.
- Observe and document residents' self-administration of medications.
- Complete daily medication counts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- **Must pass a drug screening upon hire and annually**

**- Must pass a CORI background check**

**Qualifications**:
ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to provide guidance and support to residents in a positive and constructive manner.

Knowledge of safety and hygiene practices, particularly in the context of residential living.

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
