**Estimator Job Summary**:
**Primary Job Responsibilities**:

- Chair project kick-off meetings for internal and external stake holders.
- Chair post project review and identify positive process and delivery as well as improvements moving forward.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.
- Collecting all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Studying documentation, meeting with clients, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
- Review building plans and their elements to make accurate price estimates.
- Obtaining multiple quotes for each of these and then selecting the most suitable offers.
- Negotiating with service providers to secure better prices.
- Drafting proposals that detail envisaged materials, costs, and time frames.
- Meeting with clients to discuss their thoughts and concerns about our offers.
- Calculate the potential profitability of projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree with some construction experience or any combination of at least 3 years of work and training experience in a leadership role in the construction industry or related industry.
- Three years of experience in estimating, specifically within the sheet metal fabrication sector preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant estimating tools, Quotesoft software a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, materials, and labor costs.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with a high level of accuracy
- Proven experience exercising independent judgment in performing and executing duties both independently and with others.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Task oriented, organized and is a “roll-up
- your sleeves”, hands on leader and team player.
- Must be able to prioritize assignment, multi-task to meet deadlines, be dependable with consistent attention to detail.
- Effective listener.
- Cool under pressure especially during peak workload times and tight deadlines

Salary negotiable based on experience. Target Salary $50,000 - $75,000 a year.
