**Student Transportation Coordinator & Security Staff Member**

The Town School, which serves children from nursery school through eighth grade, is currently seeking to fill the position of Student Transportation Coordinator and Front Desk Security Person This position reports to the school’s Facilities & Security Director and is responsible for managing the school 5 buses and routes, field trips, student metro cards while working alongside Town’s security team to manage people flow and maintain a safe environment.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Day-to-day operations of the school’s bus transportation, which includes:
○ Establishing and managing routes/stops/times and all correspondence with families and bus vendors

○ Obtain bus vendor contracts and invoices for review and approval in conjunction with the Director of Facilities and Security

○ Coordinate buses for field trips, physical education classes, and athletic events

○ Receive, document, and respond to reports of bus incidents/accidents

○ Maintain Office of Pupil Transportation System and distribute student Metrocards

○ Assist administration in creating internal employee support needed to manage the arrival and dismissal of students
- Front Desk/Security Coverage

○ Monitor and assist with the flow of students, families, and visitors entering and leaving the building

○ Support incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate party

○ Assist with emergency management drills

○ Assist in the creation and maintenance of ID cards

○ Assist with background checks for new employees as required by the City and State of New York

**Qualifications**
- Prior fleet management and familiarity with the Office of Pupil Transportation desired
- Prior Security or site management experience preferred
- Demonstrated project management/coordinating skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Ability to work 6:45 AM - 2:45 PM shift with occasional evenings and weekends for special events
- Experience in a school, non-profit, or similar organization is a plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- New York State Security License
- Fitness Certificate F01 Fire Guard for Impairment
- Fitness Certificate F03-04 Indoor/ Outdoor Assembly Safety Personnel

**Compensation**: $52,000 - $58,000 (position is eligible for overtime) with a generous benefits package

Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
